Lighthouse Children's Home

The Lighthouse Children's Home of Tres Rios, Costa Rica seeks to provide a channel through which local churches, interested groups and concerned individuals can extend a helping hand to needy and homeless children. The amazing staff and volunteers at the home work diligently to prepare these children for a life of serving Christ and being productive citizens in their own country and communities. It is their purpose to see that each child comes to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to see each child grow spiritually, academically and socially. The LCH provides a loving family environment where an encounter with God's Word produces a lasting change.

The Lighthouse Children's Home does not receive any funds from local, state or federal government. It is a non-profit ministry entirely supported by churches, groups and individuals that are concerned about these precious children.

Our first experience with the Lighthouse Children's Home was in spring of 2009, when we received word of their urgent need for able-bodied workers to travel to Costa Rica and help build new housing on the home's property. During that initial trip, we fell in love with the staff and children there, and were so impressed and encouraged by the work that was being done there. We immediately knew that we wanted to use our creativity to help their worthy cause. Thus, the Costa Rican Cafe container candle was born.

Whenever you buy one of our Costa Rican Cafe (formerly called Tres Rios Blend) container candles, we set aside proceeds from your total purchase to be sent directly to the Lighthouse Children's Home in Tres Rios. These funds help provide education, clothing, activities, and other provisions for the children housed there. We at EE thank you very much for your generosity!
